Meet one of our deployed reservists, Tech. Sgt. Isiah Lane from the 419th Maintenance Squadron.

Originally from Virginia Beach, the 28-year-old has traveled the world in his seven years on active duty and three years in the Air Force Reserve – from England to Japan to the Middle East.

He brings experience from his civilian job at Lockheed Martin, where he works as a field support representative with expertise in aerospace ground equipment.

Isiah recently earned an associate degree in management at Park University, but also enjoys a little down time: computer gaming, collecting books and comics, and hitting the gym.

The reservist is currently deployed to Europe as part of a Theater Security Package.

“I’ve already deployed with the F-35 to Japan,” he said. “There’s a lot of training involving with any deployment. This one requires the same duties, but in a different theater.”

Isiah said service runs in the family with nearly every branch of the military represented: an Air Force dad, Navy mom and sister, Army brother, and others farther along his family tree.
