HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Reservists in the 419th Fighter Wing joined with active duty Airmen in the 388th FW to celebrate Thanksgiving together Nov. 27.

With help from local businesses and community leaders, the Airmen enjoyed an array of holiday entrees, desserts, and family-oriented activities in an airplane hangar located near the flight line, where many of their fellow Airmen recently left for a roughly six-month deployment.

This Thanksgiving, 419th FW reservists are deployed around the world in support of diverse missions. Many are celebrating the holiday with their deployed units.

Pilots and maintainers arrived in the United Arab Emirates this week to support the ongoing F-35 mission in the region, while Airmen from the wing's mission support group are deployed throughout Southwest Asia and Europe. Those personnel include security forces, aerial port, civil engineers, and more.

Before the feast, leaders in the 419th and 388th FWs thanked the Airmen for their service and asked them to remember their brothers and sisters who are serving overseas this holiday season.
