HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Beginning May 2, the Roy Gate will have new operating hours of 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will continue to be closed on federal holidays.
The Roy Gate's commercial vehicle hours will remain unchanged, which is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The South and West Gates will remain open 24/7.
The change is the result of the 75th Security Forces Squadron assessing its gate operations, gate use, and security considerations.
“We know there may be some temporary growing pains for those who routinely use the Roy Gate outside of these new hours," said Maj. Doug Dinkins, 75th Security Force Squadron commander. "We appreciate everyone’s patience in adjusting to this change.”
