HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Col. Gina Sabric, 419th Fighter Wing commander, took some time away from flying the F-35 Lightning II to speak with students at Burch Creek Elementary Oct. 28 as part of a patriotic-themed assembly at the South Ogden school. Sabric shared her story with a couple hundred students, explaining the capabilities of the F-35 -- the Air Force's newest fighter jet -- in layman's term. She also brought some visual aids, including the F-35 helmet, and allowed one student to try on her g-suit, which helps pilots stay conscious as they perform aerial maneuvers. Sabric also answered students' questions afterward, going into further details about bombs, missiles, and the aircraft's ejection seat.
