    Seven-year old Gabe Adams wore a flightsuit and a smile Thursday when the 419th Fighter Wing made him an honorary pilot.   • Reservists answer call to support War on Terror

    In the five years following September 11, 2001, about 700 Hill Air Force Base reservists put their full-time careers on hold to serve in the Global War on Terrorism. Personnel from nearly every unit within the 419th Fighter Wing here have supported Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, deploying to locations such as Balad, Air Base, Iraq;
  • Southern Aire is a unique element of the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve. In 1999 the group began to evolve in conjunction with the Chamber Recital Series featuring a bagpiper and guitar. Over time, members of the Pipe Band were learning more Celtic instruments such as Irish flute, tin whistles, Irish drums, and Scottish small pipes. These musicians took the initiative and learned how to perform and excel on multiple instruments making the group more versatile and successful.
