419th Force Support Squadron welcomes new commander

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --  The 419th Force Support Squadron welcomed Lt. Col. Jennifer Fiederer as their commander during a ceremony here this weekend.

"I chose her because she is a forward thinker," said Col. Michael Rothermel, 419th Mission Support Group commander. "She is a very calm, cool and collected problem-solver."

Prior to this assignment, Fiederer served as director of inspections for the wing, where she was responsible for the readiness of the unit. She received her commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1998.

"I am a mentor as well as a commander," Fiederer said during her remarks. "I'm here for anything, and I will not be a one-weekend-a-month commander."
