HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – Hill reservists are invited to attend an Air Force 70th anniversary celebration April 23 at 11 a.m. in Hangar 37 where the 419th Sustainment Services Flight will serve lunch and host a trivia contest as they compete for a command-level award.
Part of a timed event known as the John L. Hennessy Competition, an eight-person team will have four hours to set up a temporary kitchen, prepare a meal, and serve Airmen.
Twelve units originally competed at the Air Force Reserve Command level. Four teams, including the 419th Fighter Wing, were chosen to host on-sight events showcasing food services and hospitality.
Enlisted personnel will sign in with their common access card and lunch will be free. The menu includes pasta with Italian sausage, chili, cornbread, side salads, and desserts. Officers and civilians are asked to pay $5.50.
The event, which recognizes the Air Force's 70th birthday this year, will also include giveaways and static displays.
