IN FOCUS: Staff Sgt. Beryl Castillo

UNIT: 419th Force Support Squadron

TITLE: Customer support chief

FUN FACTS: Originally from Lima, Peru, Beryl immigrated to the U.S. at age 19. She and her mother came to the U.S. to pursue higher education and the American dream. The 9/11 attacks motivated her to enlist in the Army Reserve in 2002. After deploying to Iraq, she transitioned to the Air Force Reserve where she fulfilled a long-time dream of being an Airman. Beryl now works as an air reserve technician (full-time reservist) here. Outside of work, Beryl spends time with her boyfriend and their kids watching movies, hiking, and having fun outdoors.
