HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 419th Maintenance Squadron held a change of command ceremony here May 6, where Maj. Kimberly Stevens assumed command from Maj. Glendon Bute.
“I’m excited about the opportunity and completely honored and humbled to become your new commander,” Stevens said to the women and men of the squadron. “I will always give you my best and I look forward to our future together.”
Since joining the Air Force Reserve, Stevens has served at multiple locations across three different commands, including an overseas assignment in the United Kingdom. Before taking command of the MXS, she served as maintenance operations officer in the 419th Maintenance Group.
The 419th MXS is home to more than 270 reservists who help keep Hill’s fleet of F-35s in top condition.
Bute commanded the MXS since 2016 and will now move on to be commander of the 419th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
