419th Maintenance Group personnel ushered in new leaders in back-to-back ceremonies today.

Maj. June Maloney accepted command of the 419th Maintenance Squadron from Maj. Ronald Carver. Carver then assumed command of the 419th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

Prior to taking the reins of the MXS, Maloney served as the squadron's maintenance operations officer. She joined the Air Force in June 1980 and became an air reserve technician with the Air Force Reserve in 1986. In 2002, she traded in her senior master sergeant stripes for second lieutenant bars. She has served in a variety of maintenance-related positions supporting bomber, fighter and cargo aircraft.

Carver enlisted in the Air Force in 1998 as a helicopter crew chief and earned his commission in 2001. He has since served in a diverse range of maintenance officer positions supporting both cargo and fighter aircraft. In 2007, Carver deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan to serve as the operations officer for the 455th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron. He had commanded the 419th MXS since January 2012.
