Eight reservists from the 419th Fighter Wing will sew on another stripe after being selected through the promotion enhancement program, better known as PEP.

The annual PEP board gives Airmen the opportunity to be promoted based on all-around performance. Airmen submit packages that include enlisted performance reports, fitness scores and a list of military and civilian accomplishments.

"The PEP board looks at the whole person," said Senior Master Sgt. Marites Ramoneda-Thomas, 419th Force Support Squadron, who helped review and submit all the PEP packages for the wing. "The board chose eight out of the nine Airmen that we submitted for promotion, which goes to show how accomplished our reservists really are."

About 150 reservists were chosen for PEP promotions across Air Force Reserve Command.

"The 419 FW far exceeded the AFRC wing average this year, as we did in 2011," said Col. Keith Knudson, 419th Fighter Wing commander. "The results speak highly of the dedication of these Airmen, the leadership of their units, and our wing's commitment to the mission."
