Richard Gonzales 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Air Force Reservists from the 67th Aerial Port Squadron spent the June UTA lifting and loading cargo in preparation for Air Force Reserve Command's Port Dawg Challenge. Six Airmen from the squadron are headed to Georgia for the contest, which tests Reserve aerial port personnel in a dozen challenges. Events include maneuvering a 25-ton Halverson loader and a 10-ton forklift; processing cargo; planning loads; building up pallets; restraining and processing cargo; and participating in a fit-to-fight test. In 2010, the 67th APS brought home two first-place trophies in the fit-to-fight event and trivia categories. Master Sgt. Brandon De Los Reyes, 67th APS team lead for this year's challenge, said his team has trained hard and is ready for the contest. "We have a great team again this year," De Los Reyes said. "This team has multiple deployments under its belt, so that real-world experience is going to pay off for us." The three-day challenge kicks off June 19 at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.
