The 419th Maintenance Operations Flight's main focus is aircraft, but without Staff Sgt. Heather Israel's computer and administrative support, much of the day-to-day mission requirements couldn't be accomplished. Israel helps members map printers and networks, create user profiles and manage records. Israel says she likes the challenge of helping members deal with various problems.

Do you have any funny stories from basic training or tech school?

I had only been at tech school for about a week, and I didn't notice a captain approaching. He asked me if there was something wrong with my arm. I was still oblivious, and I shook my arm and said, "No." He then reamed me for not paying better attention. He scared me straight, and I paid more attention after that.

What's the last movie you watched?

I watched "Cars 2" with my son and daughter (ages six and three) recently. Mostly my movie choices revolve around my kids.

What's your favorite quote or saying?

What comes to mind is, "Shut up and color." Our shop had been undermanned and over-tasked, so when another tasking came down I complained to my supervisor. He handed me a thick crayon and walked out of the room.

Do you collect anything?

Between school, work and my kids, I don't have time to collect anything.

What's your favorite cereal?

I love multigrain Cheerios because they're tasty and healthy. I sneak them into my kids' snacks.

Where would you like to retire?

I would love to retire in Northern California or Northern Nevada to be close to family.
