419th reservist to represent USAF at Veterans Concert Published Nov. 10, 2011 By Bryan MagaƱa 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- A reservist from the 419th Fighter Wing will be honored during the 56th Annual Veterans Concert at the University of Utah's Jon M. Huntsman Center Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. Master Sgt. Eric Eberhard, 419th Explosive Ordnance Disposal, will represent the U.S. Air Force during the event, which honors members from each branch of service for their accomplishments since 9/11. The free concert, dubbed "A Decade of Sacrifice," is sponsored by the Utah National Guard and includes performances by the UNG 23rd Army Band and local high school choirs, along with guest speaker Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, Commander of Ogden Air Logistics Center. Eberhard, who served in the Marine Corps Reserve before joining the Air Force Reserve in 2004, has deployed numerous times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Air Force Combat Action Medal, and in 2008 was named one of the Air Force's 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year.
