The United States military protects civilians, but Senior Airman Jared Love, of the 419th Security Forces Squadron, protects the military. On a typical unit training assembly weekend, when there are no bad guys to be captured, Love is keeping up to date on training which includes hand-to-hand combat training, honing weapons skills and taking part in various war games. But there's more to Love than protecting the base.

What's your civilian job?
I'm a security guard. I'm the one that watches all the camera monitors; it's pretty boring.

Who's your favorite super hero?
I'd have to say either Batman or Superman because Batman will beat you with his mind, and Superman will just beat you, period.

If you had an unlimited amount of money, what are the first three things you would do with it?
I would pay off my parents' debt; then I'd pay off my debt, and I'd pay for my son's college.

Do you prefer camping or staying in a hotel?
Camping, of course; it's more enjoyable. That's not even a question. You can't have a campfire in a hotel room.

What's your favorite holiday?
I'd have to say Thanksgiving, for the free food. You can't argue with free food.

What's your favorite video game?
It depends on the mood, but it's between Mortal Kombat, Madden or Call of Duty: Black Ops.
