IN FOCUS: Senior Airman Jesse Peay Published Aug. 25, 2011 By Airman 1st Class Crystal Charriere 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Without Senior Airman Jesse Peay, 419th Civil Engineer Squadron, wing personnel would be left in the dark - literally. As an electrical power production apprentice, Peay is responsible for making sure the base has power and that back-up generators are functional. I recently sat down with Peay to get to know him a bit better. Why did you join the reserve? After four years of active duty, I wanted to come home to Utah and go to school. Is there one decision you made in your life that you would never change? I don't think there's one specific thing. I don't think I'd change anything I've done because you learn and grow from each moment. Who was your childhood hero? It's always been my grandpa. He grew up during the depression and is real resilient. My grandpa is real positive and always has a joke. He has always influenced me. What is your favorite dessert? My mom's strawberry cheesecake. Do you have an irrational fear? It's not really a fear, but it is irrational. There may be zombies one day.
