419th to celebrate families, patriotism Sept. 10 Published July 5, 2011 By Public Affairs staff 419th Fighter Wing HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 419th Fighter Wing's Family Day, which honors the families of wing reservists, is set for Sept. 10. The wing will also commemorate the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 and pay special tribute to Utah's Patriot Guard Riders - the group of motorcyclists who regularly support homecomings and funerals of Utah's military personnel. Events kick off at 11 a.m. at the base's Centennial Park and will run till about 3:30 p.m. The day's activities are free and include lunch, aircraft displays, demos, sports, dunk tank, and lots of activities for children. This year, Air Force Reserve Command will sponsor a free concert by country music recording artist Neal McCoy. Representatives from various organizations will be available to talk to reservists and their families, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and TRICARE, among others.
