The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program offers free vacations to eligible reservists and their families. Many 419th Fighter Wing personnel who are deploying or have recently returned from deployment are eligible to attend the following Yellow Ribbon events:

-- June 10-12 in Bellevue, Wash.
-- July 15-17 in Palm Springs, Calif.
-- Aug. 26-28 in San Diego, Calif.

Costs covered include travel, lodging and per diem for military members and their families.

Yellow Ribbon events aim to combat the stresses of the deployment process by providing information, support and outreach services to reservists and their families. Along with spending quality time together, Yellow Ribbon events offer families an opportunity to learn more about the health, financial and legal matters surrounding deployments.

"This program is for you and your family," said Col. Keith Knudson, 419th Fighter Wing commander. "I am committed to offering this program to anyone, regardless of deployment length."

Colonel Knudson encourages eligible Airmen to attend. Since about 15 percent of wing personnel are deployed at any given time, many will meet the criteria.

"Our volunteerism comes with a price," he said. "There are answers and assistance to address the challenges before, during and after deployment. They can be found in this program."

For more information, Airmen may contact Master Sgt. Sileon Murray, 419th Yellow Ribbon Program Manager, at (801) 777-4192.
