PHOTO ESSAY: Santa trades sleigh for fighter jet

Hill Air Force Base, Utah -- For the children of 419th Fighter Wing reservists, Santa's usual mode of transportation just won't do. On Dec. 16, he arrived in an F-16 aircraft for a special appearance at the wing's annual Christmas party. Children of all ages eagerly awaited his arrival and cheers broke out when Santa came into view as he taxied toward the crowd.

Santa passed out gifts and candy to each of the children before heading back to the North Pole to prepare for a very busy Christmas week. To see more images of Santa at the wing's Christmas party, click the arrows in the Photos box.
