Wing announces Employer Appreciation Day 2010 Published March 5, 2010 By Public Affairs staff 419th Fighter Wing HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UTAH -- This year's Employer Appreciation Day is set for June 5. Reservists are encouraged to invite their civilian employers to the annual event, where they'll meet wing leadership, tour work areas and get a taste of the wing's mission. Employers can also look forward to learning more about the F-16 during an up-close, interactive tour in the hangar, among other activities. The local Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization will also provide briefings aimed at educating attendees on the support they provide and laws that protect both employers and reservists. Lunch will be provided. Due to space limitations, employers who have attended past EADs are not eligible to attend. This year, the event will be open to Hill Air Force Base or Department of Defense supervisors, space permitting. Both can then expect an email in late May that contains an EAD agenda, directions to Hill AFB, and other helpful information. Employer of the Year nominations Each year, the 419th FW selects an exemplary civilian employer who will be recognized and honored during this year's EAD. Reservists who are signed up for EAD are encouraged to nominate their employer by writing a detailed paragraph that outlines their employer's outstanding support of their Reserve service and submit it to 419fw.pa@hill.af.mil.
