Tickets still available for Air Force Ball Published Sept. 10, 2008 By 419th Public Affairs Staff 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UT -- This year's Air Force Ball will be held at the Davis Conference Center in Layton on Sep. 19. The night's guest speaker is Gen. Ronald Fogelman, and there will be a photographer on hand for those who would like to pay for pictures. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Dress for the ball is mess dress for officers, semi-formal or mess dress for enlisted, and formal attire for civilians. Reservists who would like to sign up can contact Lt. Col. Barbara Godsey, Maj. Sammie Jo Thirtyacre, or Donna Magaña. Payment in the form of cash or check is due by Sep. 15. Tickets will also be sold at Club Hill on the afternoon of Sep. 5. Ticket prices are based on rank: - E-1 through E-4 (civilian equivalent): $5.00 - E-5 & E-6 (civilian equivalent): $20.00 - E-7 through E-9 (civilian equivalent): $35.00 - O-1 through O-3 (civilian equivalent): $35.00 - O-4 & O-5 (civilian equivalent): $40.00 - Senior Leaders (O-6 and civilian equivalent): $50.00 - Community leaders and civilian equivalent: $50.00 Those who sign up have the following meal options, which needs to be decided beforehand, at payment: - Open Fire Broiled Ribeye Steak, with horseradish whipped mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables & chanterelle mushroom sauce - Miso Marinated Grilled Pacific Salmon Filet with steamed Jasmine Rice, vegetable medley - Vegetarian Meal, Ratatouille-Stuffed Portobello Mushroom The Hilton has rooms available that night at a cost of $70.00, and includes a free breakfast.
