When connectivity is crucial, Cyber Flight keeps wing plugged in

  • Published

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – Personnel in the 419th Cyber Flight have been working behind the scenes for the last several weeks to maintain the wing’s crucial IT infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has prompted most personnel to work from home.

The team of eight has worked tirelessly to support the mass telework initiative by providing laptops, common access card readers, and network access support to keep the wing connected. They are also currently in the process of preparing and updating more than 1,200 pieces of communications equipment and overhauling network drives.

The wing is operating in a mission-essential capacity with limited personnel present on base to support F-35 training and readiness operations. The remaining personnel are working from home to maintain social distancing to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
