HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – The Air Force Reserve 419th Fighter Wing and active duty 388th Fighter Wing hosted a group of commissioners and other county employees from across Utah on May 11. During the visit, the group got an up-close look at the F-35. Leaders from both wings highlighted the jet’s high-tech capabilities and explained how Airmen assigned here stand ready to deploy alongside the aircraft at a moment’s notice.

Hill AFB is home to 78 F-35A Lightning IIs. The 388th and 419th are the Air Force's first combat-capable F-35A units, and fly and maintain the jet in a Total Force partnership, which capitalizes on the strength of both the active duty and Reserve.
