HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – Physical health remains a top priority for reservists at the 419th Fighter Wing as fitness tests were back in full swing during the drill weekend Oct. 2-3. Tests were put on hold Air Force-wide through most of 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fitness test currently includes three components: a 1.5-mile run, one minute of pushups, and one minute of situps. The Air Force recently nixed the waist measurement requirement and also introduced new scoring charts based on age. The Air Force also plans to introduce several alternative strength and cardiovascular exercises to be incorporated into the existing PT test, which will be announced in the near future.
