LAYTON, Utah -- Senior Airman Erica Webster, a reservist in the 419th Fighter Wing, reads a picture book to Mrs. Berensen’s fifth-grade class at Layton Elementary Oct. 22, 2021. As part of its Literacy Month, the school invited local heroes to classrooms throughout the day to describe their job, explain how literacy is a vital part of day-to-day life, and read books to students. Readers included firefighters, police officers, military members, and local elected officials.
