HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 419th Mission Support Group held a change of command ceremony whereby Col. Jennifer Fiederer relinquished command to Col. Gregory Kuzma, here, Nov. 4, 2023.
“This has been a dream job,” said Fiederer. “I love being your group commander.”
Fiederer, the outgoing commander, had been the 419th MSG commander since November 2020. During her remarks, Fiederer expressed gratitude to the Wing and especially to the 419th MSG for the work accomplished during her time as commander.
Fiederer closed her remarks acknowledging she was leaving the group in good hands.
Kuzma received his commission in 1998 through the AFROTC at the University of Central Florida where he graduated with a degree in organizational communications. Prior to his new position, Kuzma was an Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Director, Mission Sustainment, Headquarters Space Operations Command at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.
Kuzma expressed his pride in joining the 419th and stated his top priorities as the people, mission, and culture of the 419th MSG.
“It’s hard to be humble when you get the opportunity to work with such an incredible fighting force like the 419th,” said Kuzma. “I am honored to join this team of talented and dedicated individuals.”
The Mission Support Group consists of logistics, aerial port, security forces, civil engineering, and force support units. The 419th MSG provides support to the wing by managing logistics, supply, security, and readiness.
