419th commander honors local veterans Published Nov. 12, 2014 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Col. Bryan Radliff, 419th Fighter Wing commander, served as guest speaker at the Veterans Day Patriotic Program in Brigham City Nov. 9. Radliff's remarks highlighted the reason people choose to serve in the armed forces - namely, freedom. "(Freedom) is the ideal of our nation and the identity of our people," he said. He also encouraged the audience to continue to support veterans. "Your presence here this evening demonstrates your resolve to support those of us who wear the uniform, honor those who wore the uniform yesterday, and provide hope to those who will wear the uniform tomorrow," he said. The annual event, held at the Box Elder Stake Tabernacle, featured musical selections from the Box Elder Symphonic Choir and a medals presentation. Radliff helped present medals to veterans from World War II, Vietnam, and the Korean War alongside fellow guest speaker Han Dong-man, Consul General of the Republic of Korea.
