"Today's training was an opportunity to show wing leadership the weapons their Airmen will use while deployed," said Maj. Brian Loftus, 419th Security Forces Squadron commander. "We tested their skills in a simulated high stress environment in order to try and replicate the situations their Airmen might see down range." Combat arms training and maintenance instructors ran the commanders through three drills consisting of multiple targets and weapons, testing their precision, speed, and operational knowledge of the firearms. After every challenge, CATM instructors gave each commander a score based on how well they followed instructions, the amount of time it took them to complete the task, and how accurately they fired at their targets.
