More than three dozen spouses and significant others visited here Saturday for the 419th Fighter Wing's Spouse and Significant Others Day. Guests learned about veteran benefits, base support agencies, and heard thanks from wing leaders for their roles in supporting the wing's mission. They capped off the day with an F-16 tour.

"Looking around the jet was a lot of fun," said Brittni Dooley, spouse of Staff Sgt. Lance Dooley, a crew chief in the 419th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. "It was great to see what my husband does. I have a little more understanding now, so I can visualize his work when he comes home and talks about what he did, instead of just saying, 'Sure honey, I know what you're talking about.'"

This is the wing's first event dedicated to spouses and significant others.
