Col. Bryan Radliff, 419th Fighter Wing commander, and Col. Lance Landrum, 388th FW commander, toured Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, last week for an inside look at production of the F-35A Lightning II.

During their visit, the colonels autographed the wing of the first operational F-35A due to arrive here in 2015.

Together, the 419th FW and 388th FW will be the first operational units to fly the F-35A. The wings were also the first active-duty and Reserve units to fly the F-16 in 1979 and 1983 respectively.
