419th Fighter Wing reservists load onto a C-130 Hercules bound for Eglin AFB, Fla., April 19. The mission to Eglin AFB is the first time the 419th and 388th Fighter Wings will participate in a collaborative training effort in support of the F-35A program. More than 200 Airmen from the fighter wings, including pilots, maintainers, logisticians, and support personnel, have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience while at Eglin AFB. It's been several years since a contingent this large has mobilized for annual tour.

"This is my first time moving this many people. It's been quite an experience. Overall it's been exciting and something new," said Master Sgt. Jason Thorpe, 419th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

This immersion training will give reservists knowledge and expertise they can take back to Hill AFB.
