A crew chief from the 419th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conducts preflight checks as part of training for an upcoming deployment to the Asia-Pacific region. More than 144 maintainers and pilotsĀ suited up in chemical gear and battled a day-long snowstorm Saturday.

"This is really important training," said Maj. Eileen Frock, an aircraft maintenance officer in the 419th AMXS. "When they deploy, they will be going through regular exercises and inspections. This is just a refresher, so members will be more than ready to go when the time comes."
