HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --
The last of about 80 reservists from the 419th Fighter Wing’s mission support group deployed this month to Southwest Asia.
Airmen from the security forces, civil engineer, logistics readiness, and aerial port squadrons will serve for six months in six countries throughout the region in support of Operations Freedom’s Sentinel and Inherent Resolve.
“Our Airmen cover a huge mission downrange,” said Col. Michael Rothermel, 419th Mission Support Group commander. “Their skillsets are diverse, enabling a broad contribution to the various mission sets required in the joint environment at multiple deployed locations.”
Late last year, the wing also deployed about 50 reservists from the operations and maintenance groups to Afghanistan, where they are supporting F-16 missions alongside active-duty Airmen from Hill’s 388th Fighter Wing.
