HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – Maj. Jayson Rickard, F-35 pilot in the 419th Fighter Wing, gives Fox News reporter Allison Barrie an up-close look at the new Gen III helmet during a visit here July 19. Barrie toured the active duty 388th FW and Reserve 419th FW to learn more about the fifth-generation fighter jet and the technology used by Hill’s pilots and maintainers. Airmen here highlighted the jet’s capabilities, noting the differences between the F-35 and F-16, and gave an overview of training they have received since the first combat-coded F-35A arrived at Hill AFB in September 2015.
