Clean sweep
Master Sgt. Alphonso Crispi, of the 419th Maintenance Squadron, scours a stretch of I-15 for garbage Saturday morning. Sergeant Crispi volunteered as part of the semiannual 419th Top Three’s Highway Cleanup Project, joining about 20 other volunteers from among other units within the wing. “This is another great opportunity to serve the community, help out the wing, and meet some new folks,” said Master Sgt. Jeffrey Hartman, of the 419th MXS, who organized the affair. Volunteers gathered bottles, wrappers, and other debris along the Interstate near Hill Air Force Base’s west gate. By midmorning, the team had gathered 30 bags of trash that weighed in around 1,200 pounds. (U.S. Air Force photo/Bryan Magaña)
