Prepare for departure
Staff Sgt. Joshua Taylor, 419th Logistics Readiness Squadron, helps process reservists’ luggage before they leave Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., after two weeks of training. “This is only about five percent of the job,” Taylor said about processing the luggage. “The actual planning of the trip, sleeping arrangements, and making sure everyone is set up for annual training, or any other deployment, is the bulk of the job.” Reservists spend two weeks each year away from their families and civilian careers training for contingency operations and preparing to deploy when called upon.
