Old and new
Staff Sgt. Aaron Ramirez and Staff Sgt. Jordan Tuck, 419th Maintenance Group, teach retired reservists about the new F-35 Lightning II at the unit’s 60th anniversary celebration at Hill Air Force Base Oct. 3. The 419th Fighter Wing is the first Air Force Reserve unit to fly combat-coded F-35s, which arrived here last month. The Airmen showcasing the jet at the weekend celebration have already received training on the new airframe. Aside from interactive aircraft displays, events for the 60th anniversary included a gala banquet, sporting events, and family activities throughout the weekend. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
