Staff Sgt. Joseph McGrath, 419th Security Forces Squadron, stands beside an F-35A Lightning II at Amari Air Base, Estonia. SFS personnel provided security this week for the aircraft’s arrival in the country, which is one of several stops for the F-35 during its first European deployment. Eight jets and about 250 personnel from the Air Force Reserve 419th Fighter Wing and active duty 388th FW at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, are in Europe for several weeks and will travel to multiple NATO bases in an effort to maximize training opportunities and demonstrate U.S. support to NATO.
