Weapons evaluations begins at Hill, F-35s deploy to Tyndall

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – Communities surrounding Hill Air Force Base will notice an increase in flying over the next two weeks as the Air Force conducts a weapons evaluation here.Next week, F-35’s from the base's active duty 388th Fighter Wing and Reserve 419th Fighter Wing, along with F-16s from Shaw AFB, S.C., AC-130 gunships from Hurlburt

Airmen from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings supported and flew their F-35A Lightning II aircraft during Combat Hammer, the first operational air-to-ground weapons evaluation for the Air Force’s newest fighter jets.
